I am often hesitant to take on a commission because the abstract nature and unpredictability of my process makes it difficult to know if what I create will please my collector or me for that matter. But an artist friend of mine asked me to create a piece to celebrate the friendship between three friends, one of whom had passed away. I created a piece for her that she loved and then created this mini for my collection. How do we remember someone that we have lost? How do we celebrate the special friendship between women? With a piece of art, of course!
