When fireflies begin to flicker in the warm twilight, I know summer has truly arrived. Fireflies have always fascinated me. Like butterflies, they undergo a complete metamorphosis, transforming from humble larvae into luminous beings. As adults, their glowing light becomes their love language—a signal from the male hoping to catch the eye of a female. And she gets to choose. To answer or not. To meet him in the magic of the night or simply keep glowing on her own.
These glowing creatures carry more than just light. They carry memories of childhood summers in the country, the sounds of crickets and the light of a full moon. To me, they are messengers of hope, symbols of change, and reminders that even in the darkest moments, something beautiful can emerge and shine.
